Packaging, automation and UV curing

For over 50 years the Jenton Group have supplied innovative automation machinery and equipment for the food, pharma, medical, print, converting and packaging industries.

Originally a distributor of overwrapping and bag making machines, Jenton International have grown to specialise in packaging, automation, UV curing and disinfection related products and custom engineered solutions. At Jenton we maintain a consultative selling approach - we get to the bottom of why customers are considering equipment, we apply our experience, engineering and design skills, and then we recommend a suitable solution.

Acquisitions in 2004 (Ariana Technology Limited), in 2006 (Dimaco UK Limited) and 2022 (Soken Engineering Limited) have allowed the Group to design and manufacture over 50% of the machines we sell from sites in Whitchurch (Hampshire) and Bedford.

Banding machines, bag sealing machines and UV curing systems

Our top selling products are banding machines, bag sealing machines and UV curing systems where we are distributors for market leading brands in addition to food automation systems (including convergers, stackers etc.), UV disinfection systems, tray and card pack heat sealers and label and data verification systems which me design and manufacture in house.

Many of our product lines help prevent waste or use less energy than previous methods. For example, our UV disinfection systems prevent spoilage, and our label and data verification technology prevents unnecessary waste due to recalls. UV curing can save tens of metres of heat ovens and, according to WRAP, banding can save 70% of packaging used for a large number of products. Our UV air and HVAC disinfection systems keep people safer and in 2021 we won a prestigious SBRI award with De Montfort University for our new clean air in homes technology.

Original PPMA members

Jenton International and Jenton Dimaco are members of the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association. We were one of the original founder members back in 1987 and have had a seat on the board for many years.

On many occasions we have combined our expertise with that of other members to deliver sophisticated customer solutions ,and have received awards for our joint work with Marine Products Scotland and Starflex Limited. We have also won the PPMA Award for Innovation on two occasions in addition to several SMART funded awards and most recently a SBRI award with De Montfort University in 2021.

Company

Jenton’s first employee was a service engineer. We have always believed we shouldn’t sell anything we can’t support. We employ people who are clever and who have extensive experience, some with relevant degrees and PhDs. Our job is to understand a customer’s process and requirements, and then develop, present and deliver proposals to make their businesses work more efficiently.

Our team has many years of experience in helping businesses to increase their efficiency, and we appreciate that what we propose and charge for should only cost a (fair) percentage of the benefit that investing in our equipment delivers.

We have recruited (and still recruit) from local universities, and we have also recruited experienced people from within our target industries. We also employ young people and have supported two recent apprentices – both now working permanently with us.

Of course we also benefit from the fact that many of our staff have built their experience at Jenton, having worked there for 10, 20, 30 or – in one case – more than 40 years!
