Zyrtec refreshes packaging with plastic-free design for allergy season

Zyrtec, the allergy medication brand, has unveiled updated packaging ahead of allergy season, introducing a fully paper-based outer carton that is 100% recyclable.

The new flat-front design was developed following four years of consumer research and is intended to improve on-shelf visibility.

The change eliminates the previous use of plastic blister packs, aligning with growing sustainability efforts. In addition, the updated packaging features larger text to enhance readability for consumers.

Jenn Lovell, head of U.S. Allergy at Kenvue, said: ZYRTEC has been a leader in allergy care for more than 30 years. As we continue to advance in science and innovation, it’s important for the packaging to reflect this commitment and meet the evolving needs of our consumers

According to Zyrtec’s parent company, Kenvue, the refresh is not only an environmental step but also part of a broader visual update.
