Capri-Sun unveils new 'stronger than ever' paper straws

Sustainability

Capri-Sun is set to debut a range of FSC-certified paper straws, designed to be 'stronger than ever,' across its entire product line in Q1 2024.

Crafted by Capri-Sun's packaging experts, these straws boast a remarkable 36% increase in bending force resistance, an 18% improvement in compression force endurance, and a significant 42% enhancement in vertical compression resistance.

This initiative aligns with Capri-Sun's commitment to achieving fully recyclable packaging for its entire UK range, targeting a sustainable and eco-friendly future. The enhanced paper straws follow the brand's initial introduction in Spring 2021, representing a pivotal step in its ongoing sustainability journey.

The move towards recyclability coincides with the recent launch of Capri-Sun Zero added sugar, addressing the increasing demand for low-and-no-sugar drink options among parents. The Zero range boasts nearly 90% less sugar than Capri-Sun's original formula, adhering to HFSS rules implemented last year. Capri-Sun continues to evolve its offerings to provide consumers with both healthier and more environmentally conscious choices.
