Coca-Cola and Merlin Entertainments have joined forces once again to offer a unique opportunity. By recycling an empty 500ml plastic bottle at designated reverse vending machines in UK attractions, participants can win VIP experiences.

This year's prizes include exclusive behind-the-scenes tours and experiences at popular family destinations like Chessington World of Adventures Resort and LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort.

The promotion runs from July 1st to September 30th, 2023, with 28 vending machines available at 11 participating attractions, including Alton Towers Resort and THORPE PARK Resort.

Additional machines have been installed for easier access, and visitors can locate them through staff assistance or attraction apps.

The partnership aims to collect and recycle one bottle for every one sold by Coca-Cola by 2030.

Elodie Peribere, Marketing Director at Coca‑Cola Great Britain: This summer, reverse vending machines will be located across Merlin attractions which will enable guests to recycle their plastic bottles to ensure they can be used again as well as giving people the chance to win some amazing VIP experiences. We share Merlin’s passion for entertainment and goals for sustainability: all of our bottles are 100% recyclable, and this year we added attached caps across our portfolio to make it easier for people to recycle the whole package and help reduce littering.

Over 100,000 plastic bottles have been collected through the vending machines since their introduction in 2019.
