McCafe launches compostable espresso capsules compatible with Nespresso
Sustainability

McCafé has introduced a new range of Espresso Coffee Capsules compatible with Nespresso® Original Coffee Machines.

These capsules are designed to be commercially compostable, thanks to a partnership with TerraCycle®. The capsules feature a blend of Rainforest Alliance Certified Arabica beans, aiming to deliver a smooth and balanced flavour with a rich crema.

The product line includes three roast options to suit varying taste preferences. The light roast offers sweet caramel notes, the medium roast provides hints of chocolate and hazelnut, while the dark roast is characterised by silky dark chocolate and roasted almond flavours.

The capsules are not only compostable but also come in flexible packaging that can be recycled through McCafé's Free Composting & Recycling Programme in collaboration with TerraCycle. Customers interested in this programme can sign up on the TerraCycle website to receive a free shipping label for mailing back the capsules.

We are delighted to introduce the delicious taste and quality of McCafé coffee to a broader group of Canadians through an innovative format compatible with Nespresso® Original Coffee Machines.
