Coca-Cola launches 100% rPET bottles in Hong Kong
Sustainability

The Coca-Cola Company has debuted its first-ever 500ml Coca-Cola® Trademark brands packaged in 100% recycled PET (rPET)* bottles in Hong Kong.

Now available, all 500ml Coca-Cola® Original, Coca-Cola® No Sugar, and Coca-Cola® Plus variants are produced using 100% rPET materials.

The new packaging prominently displays messages such as "I'm a 100% rPET bottle" and "Recycle Me Again," aimed at raising recycling awareness and prompting consumer action.

In partnership with industry associations and organisations like Drink Without Waste, Coca-Cola in Hong Kong champions consumer education and community collection efforts to enhance beverage packaging recycling. Teaming up with Drink Without Waste, Coca-Cola is investing HK$3 million in 2024 for a neighbourhood collection drive, mobilising housing estates and residents to foster recycling habits and establish a robust plastic bottle recycling loop.

We have been using the power of our brands, leading with Coca–Cola® and bonaqua®, to educate, inspire and advance our sustainability priorities. The introduction of our iconic Coca-Cola® Trademark brands in 100% rPET* bottles is an important step in our journey to showcase how recycling can help speed up a circular economy.
