Tadbik: Time to rethink shrink sleeves

Tadbik Time to rethink shrink sleeves
Supplier News

For years, shrink sleeves were not designed with recyclability in mind. A typical bottle-and-sleeve combination paired a PP bottle with a PVC, and later, PET shrink sleeve.

This created a serious challenge: even when the bottle and sleeve could be separated by density, the process was far from perfect. Any contamination compromised the quality of recycled resin.

Tadbik offers a smarter alternative: polyolefin-based shrink sleeves designed to be recycled together with PP bottles. No need for separation. No risk of cross-contamination. Just a cleaner, simpler sorting process and higher-quality recycled output.

And the environmental benefit doesn’t stop there. Polyolefin shrink sleeves are significantly lighter than PET, reducing label weight by 20–30%. That means less fossil-based material, lower transportation emissions, and a smaller overall environmental footprint.

Switching to polyolefin is not plug-and-play – that’s where Tadbik’s expertise makes all the difference. The company works closely with each brand to tailor the sleeve’s design, dimensions, and material behaviour. From lab testing to production line trials, Tadbik supports the transition every step of the way.

Already trusted by industry leaders like Nestlé, Tadbik’s recyclable shrink sleeve solutions are helping brands move toward circular packaging.
