Autopacks expertise creates fully automated line for sauces at PB Foods Ltd
Supplier News

Autopack, the leading independent integrator of automated packaging lines, has supplied P&B (Foods) Ltd a bespoke solution, designed for sauces. The project incorporates five machines to fit seamlessly into P&B (Foods) Ltd’s sauce operation, which were installed and commissioned to fully automate production.

Handling a wide range of sauces from 250 ml to 1 L in both plastic and glass, the line can run at 100 cpm (6,000 per hour) across one litre bottles. A high-speed rotary unscrambler ensures efficient container feeding into a 12-head alternating piston filler suitable for both hot and cold filling. The four-head automatic plastic screw capper and MC100 metal capping machine provide consistent sealing performance for plastic and metal closures respectively. Finally, a multifunctional labeller capable of front, wraparound, and tamper-evident labelling provides the final finish.

“We chose Autopack because of their extensive experience in the sauces, edible oils, and other viscous product sectors for providing single machines or turnkey line packages,” said Safiq Shaikh, Project Manager from P&B (Foods) Ltd. “From the very beginning, their team provided comprehensive design and integration support, which guided us from concept through to completion, including detailed factory layout planning for our new canning facility.”

The success of the project has led to other automation projects for P&B (Foods) Ltd, with automated can and glass lines for ghee products and a fully integrated drum line for filling of edible oils currently in manufacture. Safiq Shaikh added: Autopack’s proven ability to deliver turnkey systems, seamlessly integrating both process equipment and third-party solutions, gave us full confidence in their capability. Their dedicated project management structure meant we always had a single point of contact and clear communication throughout each project.”

We are delighted to be continuing our relationship in automating food packaging lines at P&B (Foods) Ltd. Our reputation rests on the proven automated benefits our turnkey lines deliver for customers time and again. From improved speed and efficiency to reduced costs and wastage, we’re able to meet packaging automation challenges across the food sector and beyond.
