Spectra and Bower Collective working together to provide customers with better choices

Spectra Packaging recently collaborated with the forward-thinking Bower Collective to supply a packaging solution that aligns with their eco-conscious ethos.

The partnership resulted in the creation of the Bower Collective Starter Kits for Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand wash and Body wash. These were designed to provide consumers with an eco-friendly alternative to traditional single-use packaging.

The packs take advantage of Spectra’s 500ml Standard Boston Round (Ref: 6052) and feature a custom 28/410 neck. The products were Extrusion Blow Moulded in 100% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) Prevented Ocean Plastic in HDPE. Using Prevented Ocean Plastic materials not only diverts plastic waste from our oceans, but also underscores both Spectra’s and Bower Collective’s commitment to sustainability.

The new range was also finished with a one-pass silk screen print at Spectra’s dedicated in-house decoration department.

As customer demand for eco-friendly products continues to rise, collaborations such as these serve as examples of how businesses can align their values with their packaging choices, ultimately making a positive impact on the planet.

Dan Smith, New Business Manager at Spectra Packaging, says: We are thrilled to partner with Bower Collective in their mission to promote sustainability through their product packaging. By leveraging our eco-friendly packaging solutions, we aim to support their environmental ethos while delivering packaging that meets their unique requirements.
Phil Bassindale, NPD Manager at Bower Collective, highlighted the importance of their decision to partner with Spectra Packaging: At Bower Collective, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We chose Spectra as our packaging manufacturer after studying their independent Life Cycle Analysis document, which highlighted the environmental benefits of using plastic over aluminium in certain applications. Our collaboration with Spectra allows us to offer refill packs that not only eliminate single-use plastic waste but also integrate recycled materials in a closed-loop system.
