Milkco, a milk processing and packaging facility located in Asheville, N.C USA. provides milk, dairy products, tea, ice cream mixes and bottled water to food service distributors, grocery warehouses and independent specialty retailers. The facility operates in a high moisture washdown environment.

The plant’s existing case sealer was outdated. Milkco needed a fully automated, washdown- ready case sealer that could be customized for a confined, high moisture room with virtually no clearance between walls and conveyor, integrated with the plant’s conveyor and printing systems.

Lantech provided a fully stainless-steel case sealer designed specifically for this challenging environment. The machine featured a repositioned control panel—moved to the top front—so it could fit into the tight space and still allow for access, maintenance, and integration. Lantech’s engineering team collaborated with the customer through several design revisions to finalize specifications within just a half-inch / 12.7 mm tolerance.
