P&B (Foods) boosts sauce production with 200-bottle-per-minute Autopack line
Supplier News

Leading independent integrator of packaging lines Autopack has installed a second, higher-speed sauce packaging line for P&B (Foods) Ltd, increasing capacity to up to 200 bottles per minute as the food manufacturer responds to growing demand.

The turnkey line combines an unscrambler, rotary net-weight filler, capper block and rotary wraparound labeller. It represents the latest milestone in a partnership that began in 2023 and has already delivered a series of automation and production upgrades across P&B (Foods)’ sauce and edible-oil operations.

This growth story is a great example of how packaging automation can evolve alongside a manufacturer's ambitions. We've worked closely with the P&B (Foods) team over a number of years, supporting them as volumes have increased and helping them remove bottlenecks through targeted investment in higher-capacity equipment.

The new high-speed sauce line provides the additional throughput they need while maintaining the levels of reliability and product quality required in a competitive food market.

Jonathon Stewart, UK Sales Director at Autopack.

As production volumes have expanded at P&B (Foods), Autopack was selected to deliver further automation upgrades, helping the business maximise output while reducing manual intervention across its sauce packaging processes.

In addition to the sauce line developments, Autopack has also delivered several other packaging projects, including equipment for edible oils and specialist filling applications. These investments have strengthened manufacturing capabilities across P&B (Foods) and demonstrate the business’s ongoing commitment to expanding production capacity and improving operational performance.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project has been seeing how the partnership has developed over time. Each investment has been made for a clear operational reason, whether increasing capacity, improving automation or supporting business growth.

We chose Autopack because of its extensive experience in sauces, edible oils and other viscous product applications, as well as its ability to provide anything from individual machines to complete turnkey lines.

Lukasz Szwarczak, Production Manager from P&B (Foods).

The new line gives P&B (Foods) additional capacity for continued expansion while demonstrating how a staged approach to automation can support manufacturers as production requirements evolve. The installation further reinforces Autopack's expertise in delivering turnkey packaging solutions for food manufacturers seeking to scale production while maintaining efficiency, flexibility and product integrity.
