What is anti-slip corrugated cardboard?

The anti-slip corrugated cardboard sheet is a corrugated cardboard coated on both sides with an anti-slip layer. These anti-slip plates are essential accessories for stabilising your products on pallets. In particular during internal conveying, storage and transport operations of your goods.

They have been specially designed to hold the products in place. In particular during the transport phases during which the pallets are subjected to longitudinal movements (acceleration and braking) and lateral movements (bends, roundabouts).

Thus, the product makes it possible to obtain a slip coefficient > 0.42° against 0.20° for a standard corrugated cardboard sheet.

CGP COATING INNOVATION is constantly innovating and designing solutions adapted to your needs with you. It is for this reason that the group has manufactured a complete range of non-slip corrugated cardboard, varying the compositions according to your logistical needs. We offer different types of groove E, B, EB, compositions of 350, 400, 600 g/m², and two types of anti-slip coating with a slip coefficient > 0.42° and Extra anti-slip >0.60°.

Why use non-slip corrugated cardboard?

The STABULON® anti-slip corrugated cardboard sheet has been specially developed for packaging with an irregular surface and/or with a low contact surface with the interlayer. The cardboard allows a good distribution of the loads with a great rigidity.

The non-slip corrugated cardboard format allows the roughness to adjust within the cardboard sheet and stabilise the products packaged on the pallet. The plate provides high puncture, puncture and shear resistance.

This limits slippage and damage produced. Your products are therefore shipped safely. Indeed, they stay in place even if the load is tilted (up to an angle between 30 and 45 degrees).

In addition, the high rigidity of the anti-slip corrugated cardboard sheets makes it possible to create a rigid and stable platform on which products can be stacked in many layers.

How to use anti-slip corrugated cardboard

Non-slip corrugated cardboard is used: At the foot of the pallet to prevent rising damp, protect the products from the roughness of the pallet and stabilize the first layers of products. Thus, the link between the wooden or plastic pallet with the load is ensured. Between the layers of palletised products to increase the rigidity, the stability of the products and possibly, to increase the height of the products packaged on a pallet. In top pallet in the case where the packaging is done on stacked pallets. Thus, slipping and friction are avoided. The last layer of products is also protected against attacks from the wooden pallet and against dust and bad weather.

What are the advantages of using anti-slip corrugated cardboard?

The different advantages: Its very high rigidity, to plan layers of irregular products for example bags, bottles etc. Its ability to cushion, when the product to be palletised is heavy or with a small contact surface. It is secured inside the plate and prevents products from sliding off the pallet.

Examples of use

Our experts can advise you in the choice and testing of solutions adapted to your needs. Our extensive range covers all cases of implementation: manual pallet build-up, pallet build-up by a palletiser, High level and Low level type system, palletising robot, etc.
