Your package, your pick: Post Office joins forces with DPD and Evri

Business

Post Office has partnered with DPD and Evri to introduce an in-branch parcel delivery service, offering customers the ability to send packages with DPD and Evri alongside Royal Mail Group at Post Office counters.

The new service, arriving just before the busy Christmas period, aligns with Post Office's recent Parcels Online platform for online postage purchases, emphasising its evolution into a comprehensive hub for multiple delivery carriers.

In designated branches, customers can now choose DPD or Evri at the counter, expanding their options for sending packages.

Research commissioned by Post Office reveals that 76% of the UK population sends parcels annually, with 37% actively seeking the best delivery deals. The move responds to customer preferences, as 48% express a desire for more delivery providers in one location when posting parcels.

<DPD and Evri chose to partner with Post Office for its extensive network, and Post Office branches are trusted for handling millions of parcels weekly.

Nick Read, CEO at Post Office said: We are fundamentally transforming Post Office by introducing new mails carriers for over-the-counter sales for the first time in our 360 year history. This expanded partnership with DPD and Evri shows how we are disrupting the mails market to offer greater choice for customers and more opportunities for Postmasters as we build a Post Office fit for the future.

The launch benefits both customers, offering increased parcel carrier options, and Postmasters, as the local branch becomes a one-stop solution for all mail and parcel needs.
