Procter & Gamble recalls 8.2 million defective laundry detergent packets
Business

Procter & Gamble is issuing a voluntary recall of certain packaging for Tide Pods, Gain Flings, Ace Pods, and Ariel Pods liquid laundry detergent packets sold in flexible film bags in the United States.

Due to a potential defect, the outer packaging may split open, posing a risk of ingestion-related injuries, particularly to children and vulnerable individuals. Consumers are urged to remove affected bags from reach and contact Procter & Gamble for a full refund. Eligible consumers will receive a free replacement child-resistant bag and may request a cabinet lock for added safety.

To check if their product is affected, consumers should inspect the lot code on the bag or visit www.pg.com/bags for a list of recalled codes.

Procter & Gamble says it is dedicated to consumer safety and regrets any inconvenience caused.
