Method unveils limited edition artist designed body wash bottles inspired by US cities
Business

Personal care brand method has introduced a limited-edition body wash collection featuring bottle designs created by artists from seven US cities, alongside a design celebrating the company's San Francisco origins.

The collection showcases work from artists whose designs draw inspiration from the places, cultures and communities that have influenced their creative backgrounds. Each bottle pairs an original illustration with a fragrance intended to reflect the featured location.

The artists and corresponding designs include:

  • San Juan – Larissa De Jesús Negrón: a tropical-inspired design featuring florals, mountains and the island's landscape, paired with notes of pineapple, tangerine and white peach.
  • Miami – Derek Abella: artwork depicting a game of dominoes surrounded by palm trees, accompanied by lily of the valley, amber and rose fragrance notes.
  • New York City – Camila Rosa: a design exploring New York and Latinx identity, combined with vanilla chai, cashmere and santal notes.
  • Los Angeles – Mel Depaz: artwork inspired by traditional papel picado, featuring butterflies to represent transformation and cultural heritage, with water lily, coconut and solar bloom fragrance notes.
  • Chicago – Maria Garcia Vargas: a design incorporating the city's skyline and a blooming heart, paired with raspberry, cream and cake-inspired fragrance notes.
  • Phoenix – Ashley Macias: cactus flowers emerging from a desert landscape, accompanied by cactus blossom, white sands and jasmine notes.
  • Houston – David Maldonado: artwork featuring an astronaut, rose and monarch butterfly, paired with peach nectar, honey and sweet vanilla fragrance notes.

The range also includes a bottle design inspired by San Francisco, featuring the Golden Gate Bridge and the Painted Ladies.

According to method, the body washes are formulated with ingredients designed to cleanse and moisturise the skin. The products are made without parabens or phthalates, are certified cruelty-free, and are packaged in bottles made from 80% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, excluding the caps.

My design celebrates the feeling of welcoming nature into the home, and the tropical fragrance deepens that connection. Together, they embody a relationship with the natural world that has always been central to my practice as an artist.

Puerto Rican artist Larissa De Jesús Negrón.

The limited-edition collection became available from 15 July while stocks last through participating retailers and the company's website. Selected designs are exclusive to specific retailers, with Ashley Macias and David Maldonado's bottles available at Walmart, Camila Rosa's design at Target, and Mel Depaz and Maria Garcia Vargas' designs at Ulta Beauty.

Each 18oz body wash has a suggested retail price starting from US$8.99.
