Coors Light unveils limited-edition ‘Tallerboy’ pack for summer football campaign

Coors Light has introduced a limited-edition packaging format dubbed the "Tallerboy" as part of its ongoing football-themed marketing campaign.

Described by the brand as a taller-than-standard tallboy canister, the promotional pack is designed to hold and chill three regular cans of Coors Light. The launch coincides with a summer of major football tournaments and aims to capitalise on extended celebrations associated with key moments in the sport.

The Tallerboy forms part of Coors Light's wider "Coooors Call" campaign, which centres on the elongated cheers commonly heard from football supporters during goals and other significant match events. The initiative sees the brand extend the spelling of its name from "Coors" to "Coooors" across packaging and advertising materials.

According to the company, the new canister is intended to translate the campaign's creative theme into a physical format, with both the product name and pack design reflecting the concept of extended celebrations.

The launch follows earlier campaign activity featuring football commentator Andrés Cantor, whose trademark extended goal celebrations inspired the brand's creative approach. Additional elements of the campaign include television and digital advertising, football-themed limited-edition packaging, outdoor advertising in key locations, stadium activations and a consumer promotion encouraging fans to submit their own "Coooors Call".

The Tallerboy will be available in limited quantities through Coors Light's online store, with releases scheduled for 11 and 18 June. The promotional canister will retail for $30 while stocks last.
