The Works relaunches kids' crafting range with 93% less plastic packaging
Sustainability
The Works has recently launched its redesigned packaging for its Make & Create for Kids range across its store network.
The launch marks an important milestone for The Works' refreshed approach to creative play, reinforcing the retailer's commitment to inspiring creativity and imagination through engaging, screen-free activities for all the family. What’s more, the new packaging contains 93% less plastic than before, helping to save approximately 12.8 tonnes annually.

This relaunch is more than just a refresh; it’s a bold step forward in how we inspire creativity across screen-free activities for families. Creative play has always been at the heart of what we do, helping children build imagination, confidence and dexterity through crafting fun.
Gabrielle Jarman, Head of Buying for The Works.
The initial response from customers to the range’s new look has been positive, with the top three best-selling products in the category all featuring the new packaging following front-of-store launch. Adding a unique and personal touch to the relaunch, the new packaging was developed with input from the children of The Works’ team.
Their feedback helped shape designs that reflect how children want to play, make, and explore, ensuring the range resonates with its young audience.
