A new shrink-wrapping line has improved reliability and processing speed for British-based vitamin producers BR Pharmaceutical.

With an existing line previously supplied by Yorkshire Packaging Systems (YPS) working exceptionally well in another area of their operation, BR Pharmaceutical discussed their needs for this process with YPS’ expert team. This line was dedicated to packaging small bottles of vitamins and BR were looking for a reliable solution that fits with their commitment to equipping their operation with modern, high-quality processes.

The YPS team recommended and installed a Minipack side feed sleeve wrapper with a 500mm sealing jaw. This proved to be an ideal fit between machine and application, as the machine takes up a compact footprint perfectly suited to the small products.

Ziad Abu Sheikha, BR Pharmaceuticals’ Managing Director, said: Having used YPS’ equipment before, we’re confident of how robust and reliable this new shrink wrapping line will be. The YPS team have really demonstrated their expertise in finding us a solution that perfectly handles the products we are producing and preparing for shipment across the World.

The installation moved the packaging of this line from a semi-automatic to a fully-automatic operation, significantly increasing processing speed.
