PPMA 2024: Autopack showcases at the UK’s largest packaging event

Autopack was back at the PPMA show 2024 to display our latest range of packing machinery, showcasing our solutions and services to industry veterans, new enterprises and over 300 exhibitors.

Over the three days, we were fortunate enough to have four stands to display our various machines which helped us reach a much broader audience and showcase our latest innovations. From putting on live demonstrations to discussing the future of the processing and packaging industry with a variety of people, the PPMA 2024 event at the NEC Birmingham was a huge success, making us all here at Autopack eager for next year’s event.

What is PPMA?

The PPMA is the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association, which was established in 1987, with the first event held in 1988. The main aim of these events is to bring suppliers, manufacturers and other businesses together to build relationships and solutions that strengthen the packaging industry, helping it continue with innovative technologies, benefiting all involved.

What machinery was on display from Autopack?

This year at PPMA 2024, we had on display 20 different packaging machines that are widely used throughout the food and drink, chemical and cosmetic industries to fill, rinse, label, seal and more.

This year, we wanted to feature and demonstrate live the capabilities of our jar and bottle equipment, including the F4 Hygienic Sauce Filler, and a number of flexible bag-in-box, automatic pouch machines, horizontal sachet machines and three VFFS machines.

Our showstopper at the PPMA show 2024 was our blow moulding series from the manufacturer SIDE, which is used worldwide to cover the demand for single-use containers, and piqued the interest of many businesses seeking flexible and affordable solutions for the plastic blowing sector.

Our full list of packaging machines at the PPMA 2024 event included:

MH25

The MH-25 DOYPACK automatic pouch machine takes the bag from the feeding belt, and then the bag goes to the opening, filling and sealing station and then it is evacuated through an outlet conveyor, producing up to 40PPM.

MH110

The MH-110 fully automatic horizontal sachet machine is the smallest in the range, making small sachets at top speeds. Compatible with a range of dispensing machinery it is capable of packing all products e.g. liquids, granules, gels and components. Capable of producing 100PPM Simple and 200PPM Duplex.

A100

The A100 VFFS is the simplest of the VFFS range and is designed for smaller sachet/bag sizes up to 200mm and 250mm long, producing a maximum of 35-40PPM.

A300

The A300 VFFS is one of the larger machines in the range, capable of packing larger sachets/bags in a variety of shapes up to 300mm wide and 700mm long. Producing up to 50ppm.

A400

The A400 VFFS is the largest of the range making it suitable for large sachets/bags of different shapes up to 400mm wide by 1 metre long, producing up to 50 PPM.

Contrak

The CONTRAK series is an entry level unscrambler to meet small and medium speeds optimizing production instead of a manual operation, capable of unscrambling up to 12000 bottles an hour.

F4 Filler

F4, 4 head free standing filling unit, ideal for small volume producers. Producing up to 80 containers per minute.

Tedelta 4 Head (Car104) Triggers and pumps

4 Head Automatic rotary capping machine for triggers and pump caps, producing up to 750 caps per minute, suitable for pharma, home care and cosmetic.

KT Pack 4 head Filler

The A4, 4 head free standing filling unit making this filler ideal for a small established businesses producing small volumes. Producing speeds of 40PPM or 2400 in an hour.

MC-50 Jar Capper

MC50 Automatic capping machine – Ideal for everyday use and customers with a small to medium production facility, producing up to 70 jars per minute.

Inline Cap Tightener

Autopack Inline Cap Tightener, maximum cap diameter of 110mm, Container height of 340mm and max width of 125mm. Suitable for a number of sectors, cap types and bottle shapes.

Rotary Air Rinser

The R12 Rotary air rinser machine, suitable for round containers made from any material. R12 has a compact footprint, easy tool change overs, Producing speeds of 6000 bottles an hour.

SV30-USD

This is a semi-automatic machine where the operator feeds a bag or pouch into the continuous band mechanism where they are moved along and sealed with heat

HT1 – Full action BIB

Eco fill HT1 SW Full Action, semi-automatic touch screen operated with adjustable volume 1.5 litre up to 20litre`s, capable of producing up to 645 1.5litre bags in an hour.

2 Head Linear weigher

Twin Head Linear weigher, capable of 30 weighs per minute, available to retro fit or a machine with a frame, with a single weighing range of 50g-3000g.

4 Head Linear Mini weigher

Quad mini linear weigher, capable of up to 70 weighs per minute with a weighing range of 5g up to 300g. Available to retro fit or as a standalone solution, ideal for coffee, lentils etc.

10 Head Multi head weigher

This fully automatic multi-head weighing machine is widely used for its speed and accuracy in dispensing bulk products into packaging. Available in 1.6,3.2 and 5 litre weigh hoppers.
