In the following Application News, we carry out laser coding on metal containers by adapting the marking parameters on painted metal, which is a characteristic container in this sector. The use of metal containers is very common in the food sector not only because it is a relatively easy material to mould but it is also light, durable and suitable for food preservation.

The food sector is highly regulated and controlled, for this reason it is necessary to carry out different types of coding and ensure correct traceability of the product, which allows monitoring of all its stages, from its origin as raw material to it reaches the hands of the consumer.

The choice of the technology with which to mark the container depends on factors such as cost, the production process and, above all, the type of substrate to be marked.
