Merging a Familiar Silhouette with Miron’s Proprietary Glass: One Bottle Series, Three Thread Standards, Infinite Possibilities

Global beauty brands are navigating fragmented regulations, complex supply chains and increasingly sophisticated consumers. Packaging needs to be more than beautiful, it has to be functional, scalable and future-proof.

Capella, the latest design series from Miron, merges a familiar Boston Round silhouette with Miron’s proprietary glass and three standard neck finishes. It gives beauty and personal care brands a straightforward way to step into Miron glass while keeping closure standards they already know and use.

One Series, Many Markets

Capella was created for cosmetics-first applications, especially for brands with a strong focus on natural formulations and (inter)national beauty markets. The new design series also serves pharma and apothecary-style brands.

The collection offers:

  • Neck sizes 18/400, 20/410 and 24/410, covering a large share of standard cosmetic closures
  • Seven bottle capacities (30-250 ml) for coherent line-ups and strong brand blocking on shelf
  • A Boston Round silhouette that fits comfortably into existing secondary packaging and many filling lines

This makes Capella a natural choice for:

  • Brands migrating from standard amber or clear Boston Rounds into more premium, protective packaging
  • Indie labels scaling from local batches to international distribution
  • Contract manufacturers seeking a go-to violet glass solution with reliable continuity of supply

Engineered for Operational Ease

Capella has been designed with production efficiency in mind:

  • Anti-rotation nocks on selected sizes support precise labelling and orientation of pumps or misters
  • Compatibility with Miron’s existing family of pumps, sprayers and screw caps helps reduce qualification time and tooling complexities
  • European manufacturing and Miron’s dual-warehouse set-up in the Netherlands and the U.S. help maintain shorter lead times and buffer against disruptions
Evert de Boer, CEO, Miron, said: By taking an iconic silhouette and infusing it with the power of our Miron glass, we invite the packaging industry to imagine containers that protect and elevate what matters most. We see a future where packaging doesn’t just follow trends. It sets them, enabling brands to tell their story of care, innovation and sustainability.

Value Beyond the Bottle

For brand owners, Capella delivers three strategic advantages:

  1. Differentiation: the deep violet glass creates a distinctive brand world that signals care, luxury and quality.
  2. Product integrity: light-filtering protection supports longer shelf life and stable sensorial performance, reducing write-offs and strengthening consumer trust.
  3. Sustainability story: durable, recyclable glass and longer-lasting products align with today’s expectations around responsible packaging.

In short, Capella turns a familiar Boston Round into a future-ready packaging choice, where iconic design, technical performance and commercial logic perfectly align.
