Emerson to acquire Afag Holding AG

Emerson, a global technology leader, is set to acquire Afag Holding AG, an electric linear motion pioneer.

Swiss-based Afag's innovation enhances Emerson's factory automation capabilities, strengthening its motion portfolio by integrating electric linear motion solutions with Emerson's pneumatic technology. With a footprint in battery manufacturing, automotive, packaging, medical, and more, Afag's influence spans dynamic industries.

This strategic move taps into a market valued at over $9 billion, projected to grow mid-single digits annually, aligning with Emerson's long-term growth strategy.

Expected to conclude by the end of Emerson's fiscal 2023, the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Afag's impact will be reported within Emerson's Discrete Automation segment, cementing its commitment to innovation and excellence.
