Employees from the Adelphi Group of Companies have successfully completed the demanding Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, raising an incredible £4,535 for Yorkshire Children's Charity following an inspiring team fundraising effort. The achievement significantly exceeded the team's original fundraising goal and reflects the generosity and support received from colleagues, friends, family members and the wider community.

The challenge formed part of Adelphi's 2026 Charity of the Year partnership with Yorkshire Children's Charity and saw a team of colleagues take on one of the UK's most iconic endurance hikes.

Covering 39.2 kilometres, including 1,585 metres of ascent, participants were required to complete the route across the three peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough within a challenging 12-hour timeframe. Despite warm conditions and the physical demands of the route, the team successfully completed the challenge, demonstrating exceptional determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the day.

Support for the challenge exceeded all expectations, with donations continuing to grow throughout the fundraising campaign. The final total of £4,535 far surpassed the team's original goal of £500 for the year, providing a significant contribution towards Yorkshire Children's Charity's work supporting disadvantaged children and young people across the region.

The challenge brought together colleagues from across the business, including Becky and Richard (joined by Luna the dog), Bruce, Daisy, Samantha, Joe and Cheryl, Lauren, Emily and Tommy, Brett, Henry, James, Stephen and Angela, and Giles and Carly, all of whom played a part in making the event such a success.

The response to this fundraising challenge has been incredible. What started as an ambitious idea quickly became a fantastic team effort, both on the day and through the support we received from colleagues, friends and family. We are immensely proud of everyone who took part and grateful to everyone who donated. The funds raised will make a meaningful difference to Yorkshire Children's Charity and the young people it supports.

Emily Salmon, Charity Chair and member of Adelphi's Finance team.

The success of the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge forms part of a wider programme of fundraising, volunteering and community engagement activities taking place across the Adelphi Group throughout 2026. Through these initiatives, the company aims to raise awareness, generate vital funds and create a positive impact for the charities it supports.
