Adelphi Manufacturing has unveiled the next generation of high-precision liquid filling technology with the launch of the XYZ Distributor II. Representing a significant advancement in filling and dispensing technology, the new system has been engineered to meet the evolving demands of modern production environments, integrating the filling head and XYZ base unit into a single compact platform to deliver highly accurate, repeatable filling within a clean, controlled and reliable process.

Combining advanced engineering with user-friendly operation, the XYZ Distributor II provides manufacturers with a precise, clean, contamination-controlled solution for laboratory, R&D, cosmetics and small-scale manufacturing applications.

Built around the core principles of integration, precision and contamination-free operation, the XYZ Distributor II represents the next generation of Adelphi’s XYZ filling technology, incorporating significant design and performance improvements over previous models. A key feature of the new machine is its integrated design, which brings together the peristaltic filling head and XYZ plotting base within one compact unit. This eliminates the need for separate machinery, reducing overall footprint of the equipment, as well as simplifying installation, operation and cleaning, making it particularly well-suited to cleanroom, laboratory and space-constrained production environments.

Designed for use with Adelphi’s proven peristaltic filling technology, the system automates the filling of bottles and vials arranged in trays, delivering consistent fill accuracy and controlled nozzle positioning throughout the filling process. The XYZ Distributor II incorporates a dual-channel, multi-roller peristaltic filling mechanism that improves filling accuracy and consistency while providing smooth, controlled product flow. By minimising pulsation during dispensing, the system helps reduce splashing and foaming, making it ideal for handling sensitive or high-value liquid products.

To further enhance filling precision, the new XYZ Distributor II features a rigid, vibration-free nozzle arm and precision liner guides on all axes, ensuring accurate placement and repeatable filling performance across production runs. The system delivers fill accuracy of +/-0.5% at fill volumes of 3ml and above, while its robust mechanical design maintains consistent, precise fill accuracy, even during continuous or high-speed operations.

Clean operation has been a central focus of the XYZ Distributor II’s design. A maintenance-free lead screw drive provides reliable positioning while generating minimal particles, supporting cleanroom and laminar flow environments. Product contact components include platinum-cured silicone tubing, Acetal Y connections and 316L stainless steel fill nozzle, ensuring compatibility with demanding filling applications.

XYZ Distributor II’s new user-friendly HMI touchscreen enables operators to quickly configure and manage filling programmes, with recipe storage and recall functionality allowing rapid changeovers between products, tray layouts and fill volumes. USB connectivity provides convenient backup, programme transfer and software update capabilities.

Adelphi Manufacturing has also focused on improving transport, installation and day-to-day usability. The new XYZ Distributor II features a compact mechanical design and can be supplied in a flatpack configuration, including a foldable arm, significantly reducing shipping and storage requirements. Despite its reduced footprint, the system maintains a generous usable tray area and compatibility with standard tray formats, with custom tray options also available.

Meanwhile, a redesigned tubing support system further improves process reliability by minimising tubing movement during operation and helping prevent contact between tubing and containers during filling. The new XYZ Distributor II is also available with filling heads to suit either 2.0mm or 1.6mm wall tube and is designed to support a wide range of laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotech and specialised liquid filling applications.
