Tequila Tromba launches 3.75L ‘Extra Grande’ bottle format in US market

Tequila Tromba has introduced a new large-format 3.75-litre Blanco bottle to the US market, representing the largest pack size currently available from the brand. The 'Extra Grande' format is equivalent to five standard 750ml bottles and is aimed at use in bars, restaurants and large-scale occasions.

The launch marks the company’s move into oversized formats, drawing inspiration from the traditional Mexican botellón, a communal vessel used for shared drinking. The concept has been adapted for commercial and hospitality settings, as well as home entertaining.

From a packaging perspective, the larger format is positioned as a more resource-efficient alternative to multiple smaller bottles. According to the company, the 3.75L bottle uses significantly less glass per litre than standard formats and can reduce associated carbon emissions during production and transport. It also decreases the overall volume of glass entering recycling systems or waste streams.

The Extra Grande 3.75L is a natural evolution for Tequila Tromba. We've always believed great tequila is meant to be shared. This new format gives bar operators and adult consumers more of the same craft Blanco they know from Tromba, while delivering strong value and a reduced packaging footprint.

Eric Brass, CEO, Tequila Tromba.

The format has been developed with both professional and high-volume use in mind. Applications include batch cocktail preparation, use in frozen drink machines and the creation of infused spirits at scale. The size and visual presence of the bottle also lend themselves to back-bar display and service in hospitality environments.

The product is currently available in selected US markets, with a broader national rollout planned.
