Absolut and TABASCO merge iconic bottle designs for new spicy vodka
Business

The Absolut® TABASCO™ vodka bottle brings together design elements from both brands, combining visual cues associated with TABASCO® Sauce with Absolut Vodka’s recognisable apothecary-style bottle form. The co-branded packaging is intended to reflect the identities of both brands within a single spirits format.

The new product is part of a collaboration between Absolut Vodka and the TABASCO® brand and is scheduled to launch from February 2026 across more than 50 markets worldwide, including the UK and the US. Bottled at 38 per cent ABV, Absolut® TABASCO™ is a flavoured vodka infused with a natural essence derived from the fermented red pepper mash used in the production of TABASCO® Sauce.

According to the companies, the essence contains no added sugar and is designed to convey the aroma and heat associated with TABASCO®. The product has been developed in response to growing consumer interest in spicy flavour profiles within the spirits category. Industry forecasts indicate that sales of spicy vodka are expected to increase by 27 per cent by 2029.

TABASCO® Sauce has been produced on Avery Island, Louisiana, since 1868, using red peppers, salt and vinegar. The pepper mash is fermented and aged in oak barrels for up to three years before bottling.

At Absolut Vodka, we have never been afraid to do things differently or create something bold – and now, we are at it again. People want to feel some heat in their drinks. What better way to do it than by combining one of the world’s leading hot sauce brands with the world’s leading premium vodka brand? For anyone who wants to dial up the heat, whether it’s Saturday night cocktails or Sunday brunch, this spicy vodka is definitely for you.

Craig van Niekerk, Global VP of Marketing for Absolut Vodka.

Absolut Vodka is produced exclusively in Åhus, southern Sweden, using water from a local deep well, winter wheat sourced from nearby farms and a proprietary yeast strain. The brand continues to use a continuous distillation process developed in the late 19th century.

The Absolut® TABASCO™ launch will be supported by a global marketing campaign aligned with Absolut Vodka’s established advertising approach.
