Barrel-shaped packaging introduced for bourbon-inspired dog treats
Business
Holladay Distillery has introduced barrel-shaped packaging for its new Bourbones dog treats, drawing inspiration from the company's bourbon-making heritage in Missouri, USA.
The packaging is designed to resemble a traditional bourbon barrel, reflecting the distillery's 170-year history, while the Bourbones name provides a further connection to its established spirits range.

The bacon-flavoured, bite-sized treats are made using the same historic grains used in Holladay Bourbon production, although the finished product is specifically formulated for dogs. The treats are manufactured in Kansas City, Missouri.
Alongside the product launch, Holladay Distillery has introduced a charitable initiative, with one dollar from every barrel of Bourbones sold donated to organisations supporting animals in need.
We wanted to create something that was uniquely Holladay, but also something people could have a little fun with.
Stephanie Taylor, Sales & Marketing Manager, Holladay Distillery.
The company is currently highlighting Wayside Waifs, a Kansas City-based non-profit organisation providing support to animals and families in the local community.
The new product combines packaging inspired by traditional spirits presentation with a pet food offering, extending the distillery's branding into a different consumer category.
