Amazon UAE rolls out citywide packaging recycling scheme in Dubai

Sustainability
According to MENA news outlets, Amazon UAE has launched a new recycling programme aimed at making it easier for customers across Dubai to return packaging materials from their Amazon.ae deliveries. The initiative, developed in collaboration with Enviroserve — a recycling partner certified by Dubai Municipality and the Ministry of Environment — introduces more than 150 recycling drop-off points across the city.
The scheme supports the UAE’s Green Agenda 2030 and aligns with wider national efforts to reduce waste. It also reflects Amazon’s global commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 under the Climate Pledge. Customers can recycle various types of Amazon packaging, including cardboard boxes, plastic and bubble-lined mailers, and packing paper, by depositing them at designated collection locations.

Each Amazon.ae parcel now includes a QR code linking to the company’s Second Chance webpage, which provides information on recycling packaging, managing electronic waste, and responsible product disposal.
Drop-off points have been strategically placed in both residential and commercial areas throughout Dubai, providing easy access for customers. Amazon has also implemented recycling facilities in selected community developments such as villas and townhouses, making the process more convenient and accessible.
Through this initiative, Amazon UAE aims to encourage more responsible recycling habits and contribute to waste diversion efforts, keeping materials in circulation within the local economy.
