Spectra Packaging has proudly partnered with THG Labs (Acheson) to deliver an extensive new packaging range for AMELIORATE as part of their latest brand refresh.

The project involved the production of 17 bottles, incorporating a mixture of Spectra’s Tubular and Short Tubular designs in capacities ranging from 100ml to 500ml.

Manufactured from 50% recycled content from a Prevented Ocean Plastic source, the bottles offer a sustainable packaging solution that aligns with AMELIORATE’s environmental goals while retaining the brand’s premium aesthetic. The range includes three bespoke colour-matched translucent shades, two distinctive blues and one green, with the remaining bottles in classic white. Achieving these subtle translucent tones posed a challenge due to HDPE’s naturally semi-translucent properties, but Spectra’s development expertise ensured consistent, high-quality results.

Several designs feature intricate direct print decoration, with two specifications enhanced by foil blocking for an elevated finish. This required precise technical development, as reversed-out text in foil blocking demands expert control to maintain legibility and visual appeal.

The project also involved detailed technical work to adapt neck specifications. For example, the 6004 Tubular was engineered to suit our closure (3043). At the same time, development was carried out on the 6028 and 6047 Short Tubulars to ensure a perfect fit for the chosen double wall disc top cap, balancing technical functionality with aesthetic harmony.

Sophie Pearson, Customer Services Assistant Manager at Spectra Packaging, commented: This was a fantastic project to be involved in. Working with Ameliorate to refresh their packaging was both technically challenging and creatively rewarding. From developing bespoke translucent colours to achieving precise foil blocking, it was a real team effort that delivered beautiful, sustainable results we’re all proud of.

Spectra’s ability to combine sustainability, technical precision, and brand-led design ensured AMELIORATE’s rebranded packaging delivered on every front. From shelf impact to functionality and environmental responsibility.
