PEKU highlights change and transformation at Pharmapack Europe 2026
Supplier News

If the main themes of Pharmapack Europe 2026 in Paris had to be described in just two words, they would be change and transformation.

Sustainability, in particular, is becoming increasingly important within the pharmaceutical packaging industry, especially in the context of the PPWR regulation, which is set to come into force in 2026. A number of presentations at the trade fair, along with in-depth discussions at the PEKU stand, highlighted that the PPWR regulation will have far-reaching implications for material selection, packaging design and recyclability across the entire pharmaceutical supply chain.

PEKU White already PPWR-compliant

With its PEKU White product line, PEKU offers high-quality cleanroom films and bags for demanding pharmaceutical applications. Production takes place in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644-1 standards, within a state-of-the-art 1,000 m² cleanroom facility built in 2023. Manufacturing is carried out under cleanroom class ISO 7 conditions during operation and ISO 5 at rest.

The PEKU White products already meet the requirements of the PPWR regulation and include:

  • Recyclable mono films
  • Use of recycled materials (PIR and PCR)
  • Use of bio-based materials, including materials compliant with pharmaceutical standards

The entire cleanroom product range is 100 per cent recyclable and already makes an important contribution to more sustainable production processes within the pharmaceutical industry.
