Delkor automation brings big benefits to employees and bottom line

Delkor automation brings big benefits to employees and bottom line
Supplier News

When Kenny's Candy & Confections first connected with Delkor, the company had little to no automation in place in their 215,000 sq.ft. facility. Now, Kenny's runs 60+ packages/minute on multiple lines 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Process Engineer, Seth Johnson, understands the importance of humans and robots working together. When Kenny's first implemented their Delkor packaging lines, the goal was never to replace valuable end-of-line employees. Instead, the newly automated line allowed key employees to shift to other areas in the plant that required more hands on deck. Johnson says employees also find value in building their skillsets with machine training and knowledge.

Kenny's production line includes Delkor's LSP Series Case Packer and hand pack lines. By automating a portion of the line that historically was completed by 1-2 employees, Kenny's quickly saw increased rates and improved indirect productivity.

It's beneficial for our company and it's beneficial for our people as well.

Johnson also commends Delkor's entire team for its willingness and eagerness to help anytime a call is placed.

Whether its running a new program or a new size we have to implement ... what's really beneficial was just having that continuous support from engineers to aftermarket sales teams.

Contact us to see how Delkor can do the same for you.
