Paris Packaging Week 2025 record breaking edition in sight
Events

With less than a week to go, Paris Packaging Week is set to take place on January 28 & 29, 2025, at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, promising an exceptional program and setting the stage for what is expected to be the event’s largest and most impactful edition to date.

With over 13,000 visitors anticipated, this year’s highlights include a stellar lineup of speakers, a showcase of global design excellence, and the introduction of new features designed to explore the future of packaging.

Keynote speakers

Paris Packaging Week 2025 will feature two keynote speakers whose expertise will resonate with professionals across the packaging, design, and luxury sectors.

  • On January 28 at 3:00 PM, Edouard d’Arbaumont, Managing Director for Southern Europe at Breitling, will take the stage at the Circular Economy Theatre. He will share insights into Breitling’s pioneering approach to luxury packaging, reflecting on the brand’s strategies for balancing innovation, customer experience, and sustainability.
  • On January 29 at 2:30 PM, Mathieu Lehanneur, the celebrated designer of the Paris 2024 Olympic torch and 2024’s Designer of the Year, will deliver a keynote session at the Circular Economy Theatre. Lehanneur will delve into his creative journey, his contributions to the world of luxury and design, and his unique perspective on the intersection of innovation and sustainability in packaging.

Pentawards Gallery

For the first time at Paris Packaging Week, the Pentawards Gallery will feature over 100 of the most outstanding packaging designs from around the globe—making it the largest exhibition of its kind to date. This exclusive showcase highlights award-winning packaging from last year’s prestigious Pentawards competition, selected by an expert panel of judges from top brands such as Estée Lauder, Microsoft, and PUMA. Visitors can expect to discover cutting-edge innovations in form, functionality, and visual design.

Visitors will also have the chance to experience a live performance by visual artist Craig Black on January 28 at 3:30 PM. Known for his striking Acrylic Fusiontechnique, Black will create bespoke bottle closure art during a networking session at the Pentawards Festival.

The Discovery Zone

For the first time, Paris Packaging Week will introduce the Discovery Zone, a dedicated area showcasing the latest in packaging innovation. This space will feature start-ups pushing the boundaries of design and technology, with solutions focused on sustainability, reuse, smart packaging, and more.

Victor Duprez, Head of Marketing at (RE)SET, highlighted the importance of this initiative "The Discovery Zone is a space that allows us to explore innovations collectively, even as competitors. It focuses on what could become the key tool for economic and environmental transition. It was therefore an obvious choice for us to be part of this space at the Paris Packaging Week."

Showcased at the Discovery Zone:

  • KIUD, unveiling reusable packaging made from recycled textiles.
  • AlterEco Disposable, highlighting sustainable fiber-molding applications.
  • Woamy Biofoam, presenting cellulose-based biofoam solutions for premium unboxing experiences.
  • Releaf Paper, transforming fallen leaves into recyclable paper for packaging.
  • Ary, showcasing video-enabled physical cards for personalized packaging experiences.
  • Forewood, developing 100% plant-based caps and closures for the cosmetics industry.
  • (RE)SET, demonstrating refill and reuse systems that support a circular economy, these innovations represent the culmination of collective efforts to place reuse at the center of a decarbonization strategy, redefining how consumers interact with packaging.
