BCMPA

BCMPA (The Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics), established in 2000, has grown into a prominent advocate for the contract manufacturing and packing industry in the UK, covering diverse sectors such as food and drink, nutraceuticals, chemicals, personal care, pharmaceuticals, and household goods.

To keep pace with the industry's evolution towards end-to-end services and direct-to-consumer delivery, BCMPA members have expanded their expertise across the supply chain. As a result, in early 2019, the BCMPA rebranded itself as the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics.

BCMPA members

The BCMPA has attracted over 200 members, giving customers a broad range of options to outsource their projects. The website redesign in 2019 included enhanced features such as a responsive design, a free database access, and a more sophisticated search tool for customers to identify members that meet their facility and service requirements.

Leading trade body

The BCMPA has emphasised engaging with relevant trade publications, associations, and exhibitions to raise industry awareness. Recently, they have expanded their website resources to include information on trade publications and associations, among other useful tools.

During the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the BCMPA reviewed their marketing strategy and saw a significant increase in traffic to their website, affirming their position as a first point of contact for brand owners, retailers, manufacturers, and e-commerce companies. Throughout the pandemic, BCMPA members have stepped up to ensure the efficient delivery of essential supplies to end consumers, facilitating the entire supply chain process.

Despite its modest beginnings, the BCMPA reached its 20th anniversary in 2020 and is now recognised as one of the leading trade bodies nationally and internationally.
