London Drugs’ new eco store features SC Johnson soap refill station
Sustainability
Canadian retailer London Drugs has launched a new concept store in Burnaby, British Columbia, featuring an in-store refill station for hand and dish soap as part of a wider initiative to reduce plastic waste.
Installed in partnership with SC Johnson, the refill station offers customers the opportunity to top up reusable containers with well-known soap brands including Method and Mrs. Meyer’s. The system utilises refill pouches instead of traditional single-use plastic bottles, aiming to reduce packaging waste and promote more sustainable shopping habits.

The refill station is positioned at the heart of the retailer’s newly designed store, which has been developed with a focus on environmental responsibility. The initiative highlights how practical refill solutions can be integrated into a mainstream retail environment to support circular consumption models.
The move reflects the ongoing commitment of both London Drugs and SC Johnson to advancing sustainable retail practices by offering consumers accessible alternatives to single-use packaging.
