Awarding Best Managed Company to Houweling Group

During the 13th edition of the Best Managed Companies programme, the Houweling Group was proclaimed Best Managed Company in the Netherlands (only one in the packaging industry) for the fifth time in a row.

This time the selection criteria had been tightened considerably, so more was expected of the participants to earn the award. This was evident from the fact that there were only 22 BMC winners this year, compared to 60 to 70 in previous years. The award ceremony took place in the Afas theatre in Leusden.

Marc Houweling, director of the Houweling Group, explained: This is something we work hard for every day, together with all our employees and customers. We gained this recognition together! Not only do we as an organisation stand out for our working method compared to other organisations in the packaging industry, we actively target the importance of reusing raw materials and having high sustainability norms in our industry.

Best Managed Companies is a global brand of excellence. Best Managed Companies is the most important business programme of Deloitte. The successful companies are recognised for how they manage their growth strategies in all important management functions.

Best Managed is a globally recognised award, with a presence in over 35 countries.
