Countdown to Paris Packaging Week: Final speakers and app unveiled

Events

Paris Packaging Week is set to break all records this year with more than 10,000 visitors expected at the show, which opens on 17 and 18 January at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

With less than a week to go before the event, event organisers Easyfairs have revealed a number of new speakers who will bring inspiration and new insights to anyone involved in packaging decisions for beauty, luxury, drinks or aerosol products.

Among more than 100 speakers across the four conferences at the event, next week’s line-up includes:

  • The fashion designer and innovator Olivier Lapidus, who will share his futuristic vision of how science and design are combining to create the future of the beauty industry;
  • Jeremy Lindley, the global design director of drinks group Diageo, who will discuss how an understanding of neuroscience can help drive design strategies;
  • Julien Denormandie, the former French minister for Agriculture and Food, who will give a keynote overview of the importance of ESG management;
  • Kay Lee, general director at the beauty group Amore Pacific Europe, who will share the Korean group’s vision of innovation and sustainable development in the beauty industry; and
  • Catherine Lee, Senior VP – Global Packaging, Design and Sustainability at Kendo Brands, who will take part in a panel discussion on responsible design, covering both inclusivity and sustainability issues.

The speakers join representatives of a wide range of brands, design agencies, packaging suppliers and associations on stage, including The Smiley Company, L’Orèal, Guerlain, LVMH, Rèmy Cointreau, the Pentawards, Le Rouge Francais, (RE)Set, Kao, Beiersdorf, Berry Global, the FEA, Coty and many more.

The full agenda and details of the four conferences, which focus respectively on sustainability, design, innovation and aerosols, is now available at www.parispackagingweek.com.

App launch

In addition, the app for the event is now available for download from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

The app offers a range of new functions that are designed to help all participants plan their visit and optimise their time at the show. Features include:

  • GPS blue-dot navigation on an interactive floorplan;
  • Full details of all exhibitors and conferences, with the opportunity to ‘favourite’ exhibitors and sessions in order to create a personalised show agenda;
  • The ability to message and plan meetings with other visitors and exhibitors at the show.
Josh Brooks, Event Director at Paris Packaging Week, said: We can’t wait to open the doors next week to welcome a record number of visitors and exhibitors from around the world.

The event promises to be our best ever, with hundreds of new products on show as well as a truly inspiring line-up of speakers. Everything at the show is designed to helps brands create their best-possible packaging – and I am looking forward to seeing the new generation of packaging that will be born at the event.

Paris Packaging Week brings together four exhibitions, each dedicated to packaging innovation and design in a specific market: ADF for the global aerosol and dispensing systems market; PCD for the perfume, cosmetics and personal care sector; PLD for the premium and luxury drinks market; and Packaging Première Paris for the luxury products market.
