Vape brand ELFBAR wins global design awards for Nicotine Reduction Kit
Business
ELFBAR has received three international design honours — the Pentawards, the Red Dot Award, and the London Design Awards — for the packaging and design approach behind its ELFA PRO Nicotine Reduction Kit. The product is described as the first kit from the brand intended to support adult smokers and vapers in stepping down their nicotine use.
The ELFA PRO system follows a structured 90-day pathway, with nicotine strengths reducing in three stages from 2% to 1% and then to 0%. Each 30-day phase — labelled Awaken, Embrace and Transform — is intended to guide users through a progressive reduction programme and highlight their progress.

A key focus of the award-winning concept is its pared-back packaging. The design uses recyclable, plastic-free paper materials with a matte finish and muted colours, moving away from the bold visuals commonly seen in the category. Clear day-markings on the outer pack and straightforward nicotine-percentage indicators on the pod packs aim to make the transition steps easy for users to follow.
Season Wu, Head of Brand Marketing at ELFBAR, said: We see design as a way to make a real change — to turn ideas like tobacco harm reduction (THR) into experience people can truly feel. When design carries empathy and responsibility, it becomes more than form — it becomes a dialogue with adult smokers and vapers.
According to the brand, the design direction is part of a wider effort to present smoking-alternative products in a more mature and purpose-driven way, with packaging playing a central role in supporting behaviour change.
