New partnership boosts packaging access for South Australian football clubs

Football South Australia has confirmed a new collaboration with Nupak Australia, a supplier of food and beverage packaging including cups, containers and custom-branded products for sports clubs.

The agreement aims to provide community clubs with improved access to competitively priced packaging, reliable supply and product options suited to matchday catering and fundraising activities. As part of the partnership, clubs will be able to explore customised packaging lines alongside standard food-service items.

The initiative is being supported by Nupak co-owner Barney Smith, who is well known within the state’s football community for his long-standing involvement in the sport. His role is expected to help ensure that clubs receive support from someone with direct understanding of grassroots environments and day-to-day operational needs.

Football SA CEO, Michael Carter, said: This partnership with Nupak reinforces our commitment to providing meaningful, cost-saving opportunities for clubs right across the state. It is another step forward in our plan to aggregate purchasing, reduce costs, and support the football network in a practical and impactful way. We are delighted to welcome Nupak—and Barney—into the Football SA family.

Football South Australia says clubs can anticipate ongoing promotions, product updates and opportunities as the partnership develops. Both organisations will continue to work together to broaden the offering and maintain favourable pricing for participating clubs.
