ALFED launches entry-level Aluminium Light Training Course for industry newcomers

The Aluminium Federation (ALFED) is proud to announce the launch of its newly refreshed Aluminium Light Training Course, a half-day, in-person, entry-level programme designed to provide a practical introduction to the UK aluminium industry. The course is ideal for new starters, non-technical staff, and anyone seeking a clear understanding of aluminium as a strategic metal.

Held at Bragborough Hall Business Centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire, the Aluminium Light course offers attendees a concise and accessible overview of the aluminium sector, including:

  • An introduction to the structure and scope of the UK aluminium industry
  • Primary and secondary aluminium production and processing
  • Key quality requirements and common defects
Aluminium is a versatile and strategically important metal, yet many professionals join the industry without a technical background. Aluminium Light is designed to give beginners the confidence and foundational knowledge they need to understand aluminium’s role in modern industry and support their career development.

  • Location: Bragborough Hall Business Centre, NN11 7JG (ALFED HQ)
  • Format: Half-day, in-person course | 9.30am – 1.30pm
  • Cost: £150 + VAT for non-members | FREE for ALFED members

Participants will leave with a clear understanding of aluminium production, recycling, processing, quality standards, and its versatile applications across sectors. The course also equips non-technical staff and newcomers with the knowledge to engage more effectively in their roles or future career paths within the industry.
