New ways of offering carrots to the supermarket with Newtec's optical sorting machine

Four Newtec optical sorting machines for carrots, successfully installed at leading Australian carrot producer, Rocky Lamattina & Sons Pty Ltd.

In June 2019, Newtec and its Australian dealer, Proud Solutions, delivered four optical sorting machines for carrots to one of Australia's largest packhouses, Rocky Lamattina & Sons.

The optical sorting machines enable the wholly Australian-owned and operated company to proces up to 600 tonnes of carrots per week and to service the country’s largest supermarkets with produce - harvested, packed, cooled and transported directly from the farm.

Rocky Lamattina & Sons has been growing, processing and distributing carrots for more than two generations, and is an icon in fresh produce markets around Australia.
