Cosmetics Business in conversation with Spectra Packaging

On the back of its Life Cycle Analysis, Cosmetics Business catches up with Spectra’s Sales Director Jonathan Powell.

Plastic packaging has been on the receiving end of a lot of bad press, with some members of the beauty industry ‘waging war’ on plastic pollution.

But according to packaging supplier, Spectra Packaging, there is a place for plastic within the beauty industry, as long as it is correctly sorted for recycling and the right types of material are used.

In this video, Jonathan Powell, Sales Director at Spectra, explains to Cosmetics Business how the company is helping beauty brands meet their sustainability targets and reveals insights of its independent Life Cycle Analysis, in which comparisons were made on the environmental impact of HDPE, PET, glass and aluminium containers.
