New England Machinery, Inc. was founded over 45 years ago by a group of packaging engineers. Today we have thousands of packaging machines worldwide on every continent.
With over 48 years' experience in the packaging industry, we have developed extensive industry-specific knowledge allowing us to design machinery to meet your specific market and regulatory requirements. Select from our broad line of unscramblers, orienters, cappers, lidders, retorquers and more.
Industries served:
New England Machinery manufactures a full line of bottle unscramblers to sort, organise, orient and deliver bottles or containers into a single, upright and orderly fashion, right onto your production line. Whether your container is large or small, your production line is fast or slow, or your product is pharmaceutical, food, beverage, cosmetic, or chemical, NEM has a low or high speed bottle unscrambling system to help maximise your production line efficiency.
New England Machinery manufactures a full line of capping systems including bottle capping machines, container capping machines and cap sorters for any application. NEM's capping machines and bottle cappers tighten screw-caps and lug-type caps, close oriented and non-oriented push-down closures, and secure plugs, fitments and lids ensuring all are securely placed on your bottle or container.
The size of your cap and container do not matter… large or small caps – NEM's high speed container capping machines deliver. Production speed is never an issue… slow, fast or faster – NEM has both low and high speed capping systems that will meet your production needs. Industry concerns… there are none. NEM works in all types of industries including cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, household, personal care, automotive, chemical, and many more.
New England Machinery designs and builds orienter machines for any application to quickly and simply orient bottles in a common direction with controlled movement. NEM's full line of bottle or container orienters include both in-line and rotary systems. NEM orienters are available with the latest technological sensing mechanisms such as photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, UPC scanners, and/ or vision systems. They can gently handle the re-positioning of labeled, unlabelled, decorated or undecorated asymmetrical bottles / containers at low and high speeds.
The NEM snap-on lidding system effectively and efficiently mates snap on lids to their containers. We offer several different patented sorting methods for the lids, depending on their shape, size and flexibility.
The NESOL works in conjunction with the customer's continuous motion conveyor. The containers never leave the conveyor during the lidding process.
New England Machinery's inspection / rejection system inspects for skewed caps, missing caps or foil liners. It can detect down bottles, mis-oriented bottles, crooked or missing labels and more.
Depending on the inspection requirement, the NEMIRS uses photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, UPC and 2D scanners, or vision systems. The containers can be rejected using an air blow-off, diverter arm, or push cylinder. The rejects can be rejected to a table, collected in a bin, or transferred to an existing system.
New England Machinery, Inc. offers two types of continuous motion scoop feeders:
NESFD: Scoop feeder dropper sorts, feeds, and drops scoops into empty upside down cans.
NESFP: Scoop feeder placer sorts, feeds, and places scoops into filled containers and gently compresses them down. This compression brings the scoops below the container neck to allow for sealing and/or capping without the worry of product dust or scoops sticking up/out.
