With a production that ranges from semi-automatic wrapping machines with smart technology to the latest generation of automatic machines, from shrinkwrappers to industrial packers and case packers, from palletisers to AGV & LGV shuttles and machines dedicated to the recycling of raw materials, Aetna Group produces and markets a wide range of solutions capable of responding to equally vast production requirements, with a high tailor-made packaging capacity and 24/7 assistance service. This is the way in more than 40 years of history Aetna Group has made a name for itself worldwide for technology, quality, expertise, innovation and entrepreneurial vision.
The headquarters are in Castel San Pietro (Bologna), in the heart of Italy's packaging valley: 7 are in total the production plants located along the main artery of Emilia-Romagna, the Via Emilia, and another 5 are the international ones: 2 in China, 1 each in the USA, Brazil and Germany.
Aetna Group has developed over the years according to the logic of the One Global Company, paying great attention to the territory as a resource to draw on and invest in, together with a strong drive towards internationalisation. The Group has a capillary presence in the most important and synergic marketplaces in the world with 13 branches, which provide the technological quality of Made in Italy, guaranteeing a customisation of proposals to the needs of the market and the specific customer, with an extreme focus on circular economy issues.
The creation of a One Global Company with a strong glocal imprint is also thanks to a policy that has made acquisitions an element of integration and sharing of know-how, network and knowledge of the territory. The reference brands, excellences recognised throughout the world, are Robopac and OCME, which summarise the Group's main lines, supported by an international network of about 300 specialists dedicated to after-sales, to offer the same quality standard of products and top-level services everywhere in the world.
Each of the Group's business units is today structured in a highly specialised way and is distinguished by a unique peculiarity: the TechLab, the most advanced research laboratory system in the packaging industry, dedicated to continuous product and process development. With the aim of reducing energy and material consumption, TechLab guarantees maximum packaging safety (product damage reduced up to 85% during transportation) and packing material savings of up to 60%. Results obtained scientifically, through unique machinery, simulations of various worst cases and strict accredited tests.
