WiseSorbent: Innovative EHC system protects car lights from moisture damage
Supplier News
The EHC (Electronic Humidity Control) is designed for use in car lighting systems. It can be installed on the back of a car light (see picture below for reference, which shows the backside structure of an actual car light).
A brief introduction to EHC
In automotive systems, especially during the start and stop phases of a vehicle, various pressure changes can occur. This is where the EHC (Electronic Humidity Control) plays a crucial role.
How it works
The desiccant inside the EHC absorbs any internal moisture. The system then expels the moisture through a breathing action. When air enters the system, it first passes through the desiccants in the EHC to ensure it is dry before entering the electronic components.
At certain temperatures, the heat generated by the electronic components within the vehicle helps to partially regenerate the desiccants in the EHC, allowing the product to be used for an extended period.
The EHC is ideal for petrol or hybrid vehicles and can also be used in batteries, ECUs (Engine Control Units), BMSs (Battery Management Systems), charging controllers, and other electronic components.
