INTERROLL wins IFOY Award in the category Special of the Year 2025 for MCP PLAY
Supplier News

With MCP PLAY, Interroll presents an innovative, autonomous control solution for the modular container and carton conveyor technology platform (MCP), which makes it much easier to configure, install and operate conveyor systems more efficiently. Thanks to the decentralised control concept, which relies on the latest generation of Interroll MultiControl, extensive programmable logic controllers (PLC) can be largely dispensed with. This not only accelerates commissioning, but also increases the flexibility and throughput of the system by up to 100 percent – while at the same time improving energy efficiency. In addition, distributed control reduces data exchange within the system environment, resulting in lower latency and improved monitoring, responsiveness, and system flexibility.

A special highlight of MCP PLAY is the "Flowing Merge" function: Conveyed goods are no longer stopped when two lines are merged, but kept in flow. This reduces energy requirements and connected load, avoids start-up currents and peak loads, and reduces noise emissions. The intuitive user interface allows integrators and operators to quickly and easily analyse key operating data or customise the system.

The award is the result of a multi-stage selection process: As part of the TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS in the Dortmund exhibition halls, Interroll presented the innovation to an international jury of trade journalists and experts from 19 countries. The jury and the Innovation Check Team particularly appreciated MCP PLAY's contribution to increasing efficiency and simplifying plant planning and configuration.

Markus Asch, CEO of Interroll, said: This award is a great recognition of the innovative strength and commitment of our entire team. The jury's verdict confirms that we are creating real added value for our customers with our solution: Flexible zoning and continuous consolidation of packages not only enable significantly higher throughput rates and buffer capacities while maintaining system costs, but also offer significant energy savings. I am particularly pleased that the simple planning and commissioning as well as the efficiency in operation were also appreciated. MCP PLAY is the result of our passion to sustainably improve intralogistics – and we see this award as an incentive to consistently continue our innovation course.

By winning the IFOY Award, Interroll underlines its innovative strength and market leadership in intralogistics.
