Supplier News

Following a successful global debut at interpack 2026, Bradman Lake brings its latest innovations to North America

Bradman Lake, a global leader in advanced packaging machinery and automation, will showcase a powerful portfolio of integrated, high-performance solutions at PACK EXPO International 2026 in Chicago (18–21 October). At booth S-1742, visitors will experience a fully connected packaging line engineered to maximize productivity, flexibility, and sustainability for modern manufacturing environments.

Building on the momentum of its successful interpack 2026 launch in Germany, Bradman Lake will demonstrate how its latest technologies deliver measurable operational benefits for North American manufacturers seeking greater efficiency, adaptability, and line performance.

FT-iFLEX Flow Wrapper

North American Debut: FT-iFLEX Flow Wrapper

Making its North American debut at PACK EXPO, the FT-iFLEX Flow Wrapper will be presented as part of a fully integrated, space-efficient packaging line.

Designed for high-mix production environments, the FT-iFLEX combines precision engineering, operational flexibility, and maximum uptime within a modular, future-ready platform. Its architecture also provides backward compatibility with existing Bradman Lake modules, including adaptable sealing options for a wide range of materials and applications.

At the heart of the machine is Rockwell Automation’s compact iTRAK® intelligent track system, delivering:

  • Zero-pressure product infeed
  • Independent product movement
  • Automatic variable pitch adjustment without mechanical changeovers

By removing the limitations of traditional pitch systems, the FT-iFLEX synchronizes product spacing with film length in real time, ensuring highly accurate placement and consistently superior seal quality.

Key advantages include:

  • Precise product positioning and premium seal integrity
  • Exceptional registration accuracy
  • Rapid response to upstream product variation
  • Reduced change parts and downtime
  • Lower wear and maintenance requirements

Suitable for food, pharmaceutical, medical, and multipack applications, the FT-iFLEX also features push-button size changeovers and an open-frame hygienic design for improved accessibility and sanitation.

Intelligent Integration: Motion Loader & SL903 Cartoner

In the live demonstration line, wrapped products transfer seamlessly into Bradman Lake’s Intelligent Motion Loader (IML), powered by a medium-frame iTRAK® system.

The IML automatically:

  • Accepts randomly spaced products
  • Collates and synchronizes product flow
  • Delivers continuous, precision loading into the cartoner

With independently controlled movers and advanced product tracking, the system provides reliable, high-speed performance while minimizing wear and reducing the need for change parts.

Completing the integrated line is the SL903 End Load Cartoner, a proven solution trusted by leading global manufacturers. Renowned for its durability and versatility, the SL903 handles a wide variety of carton materials — including recyclable and lower-grade board — helping manufacturers achieve both operational and sustainability goals.

IL120 Carton Closer

Flexible Top-Load Cartoning Solutions

Also featured at the stand will be Bradman Lake’s HS Carton Former and IL120 Carton Closer, forming part of a versatile top-load cartoning solution designed for reliable, high-efficiency carton erection and closing.

HS Carton Former & Tray Erector

A long-established and dependable solution across multiple industries, the HS offers:

  • Speeds of up to 180 cartons or trays per minute
  • Fast, repeatable changeovers
  • A modular design supporting a wide range of carton styles

At PACK EXPO, the system will be configured for three-flap carton lock-erection.

IL120 Carton Closer

Designed for smooth, jam-free operation, the IL120 features:

  • Flexible rubber finger technology for handling overfilled cartons
  • Tool-less size changeover
  • Consistent, repeatable sealing performance

Together, these systems provide a scalable cartoning solution that integrates seamlessly within Bradman Lake’s broader packaging ecosystem.

Engineered for Sustainability and Operational Efficiency

Sustainability will be a central theme across the Bradman Lake stand. During live demonstrations, the FT-iFLEX and SL903 will run recyclable packaging materials, highlighting:

  • Compatibility with eco-friendly films and carton board
  • Energy-efficient drive architecture using iTRAK® and ArmorKinetix® technology
  • Reduced material waste and minimized downtime

Rockwell Automation’s integrated control platform further enhances performance through streamlined diagnostics, connectivity, and machine visualization via the Optix interface.

Complete Line Integration

All equipment on display will operate using Allen-Bradley® Studio 5000 Logix Designer (formerly RSLogix 5000), providing unified control architecture across the entire line. Fully integrated safety systems ensure compliance while simplifying operation and maintenance.

Visitors will also be able to explore video case studies and installation footage showcasing Bradman Lake systems operating in real production environments across:

  • Flow wrapping
  • Cartoning and sleeving
  • Tray packing and case packing
  • Shrink Wrapping
  • Slicing and bagging
  • Palletizing
