30 years of Allpack - from humble beginnings to multinational packaging powerhouse

30 years of Allpack
Supplier News

We are excited to celebrate our 30th anniversary. For three decades, we have led the packaging industry, providing high-quality and innovative packaging solutions to businesses worldwide.

Humble beginnings: 1994

The journey of Allpack started in Birmingham in 1994. A young accountant and enthusiastic entrepreneur began by selling boxes, tape, and bubble wrap to local businesses. Initially, stock was stored in our garden shed, and deliveries were made with an old grey GPO van. The quality of our products and exceptional service quickly gained attention, leading to a surge in new clients and an expanded product range. As demand increased, we integrated with our supply chain and relocated several times to support our growing customer base.

Steady growth: 1998 - 2005

In 1998, we moved to Chester Road in Erdington. By 2005, we had outgrown this location and relocated to Navigation Way in West Bromwich. Throughout this time, we remained dedicated to quality industrial transit packaging, continuously developing new ideas and products to meet evolving customer needs and environmental challenges.

Expansion and innovation: 2010 - 2021

In 2010, we moved again, this time to Middlemore Lane West in Aldridge. Over the years, our experience, expertise, and proficiency in the packaging sector resulted in delivering 'a better package' for our customers. By 2021, we had established a new National Distribution Centre, Somerville House, in Cannock, cementing our position as a major player in the industry and enabling us to serve a range of clients both nationwide and across Europe.

A new era: 2023 onwards

In 2023, we merged with Eastpac, enhancing our packaging expertise and service delivery. Now, in 2024, we stand as an international packaging manufacturer, serving clients across the UK and Europe with industry-leading brands and products. Our group's turnover exceeds £240 million, with multiple manufacturing sites across the UK and Europe, and a global portfolio of reliable suppliers. We pride ourselves on our manufacturing and sourcing abilities, offering competitive pricing across all product ranges for the benefit of our customers.

We have consistently embraced state-of-the-art technologies, implemented robust research and development programs, and developed a highly skilled workforce to stay ahead of industry trends and remain a key supply partner to our customers.

George Clarke, Managing Director at Allpack, said: Our 30th anniversary is a significant milestone that reflects our unwavering dedication to providing industry-leading packaging solutions to our clients. We are immensely proud of our journey so far and grateful to our clients, partners, and dedicated team members who have played a pivotal role in our success. We have always been committed to staying ahead of the curve in terms of technology and sustainability. By embracing innovation and environmental responsibility, we not only meet the current needs of our clients but also contribute to a better and more sustainable future for the next generations.

Looking ahead

As we look forward to the next chapter in our journey, we remain dedicated to our core values of process intelligence, sustainability, industry focus, and packaging specialisation. With a focus on continuous improvement and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, we are poised for another successful three decades and beyond of providing our clients with ‘a better package’.
