New York’s iconic Carmine’s adopts EEASY Lid for signature Italian sauces
Business
Carmine’s, a well-known family-style Italian restaurant in New York City, has partnered with Consumer Convenience Technologies (CCT) to introduce the EEASY Lid on its line of signature sauces. The move aligns with the restaurant’s ongoing commitment to accessibility and sustainability as it celebrates its 35th anniversary.
Carmine’s initially launched its sauces during the COVID-19 pandemic to support employees, and due to strong customer demand, the brand made them permanently available. Now, with the addition of CCT’s patented EEASY Lid, Carmine’s aims to enhance convenience for consumers by providing a jar lid that reduces the effort required to open vacuum-sealed jars. The design allows users to press a button on the lid to release the seal, reducing the twisting force needed to open the jar by up to 50%.
The EEASY Lid is designed to assist those with limited hand strength or mobility issues and is made from aluminium, offering a recyclable alternative to traditional tin plate lids.
Jeffrey Bank, CEO at Carmine’s, said: Carmine’s was created to bring people around the table for simple yet delicious meals for the whole family, whether a classic Spaghetti and Meatballs dish or a nostalgic plate of Chicken Parmigiana. Now with the EEASY Lid, we hope to make that experience even more convenient so that people can recreate the Carmine’s experience at home with ease. We want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at grandma’s, and we want consumers to be able to access our sauces effortlessly.
Carmine’s sauces featuring the EEASY Lid will be available in over 300 ShopRite stores across the Northeast, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, with further expansion planned.
